Damien Coisne, a doctor based in Bordeaux, grew up in Colombia from where he inherited the Finca Bacarat farm, homestead for 42 years. Today the farm is run by Reynel, his associate and brother. Millions of kilometers away from each other, they both work to reach the same goal: make the farm self-sufficient and more importantly create local employment. Situated in the community of El Pital de Combia, in the Risaralda region, the Colombian coffee plantation of 5 hectares is divided in two parcels: "playa rica" and "el porvenir". The Finca Bacarat is producing 18 bags of micro lot coffee, harvested by hand in 8 successive passes!
