More details

Tea Forté Earl Grey is an exceptional blend of organic Assam tea leaves of exceptional quality, infused with cold-pressed Italian bergamot oil from citrus fruits grown in Calabria, Italy. Considered one of the most popular teas in the West, and probably the most popular flavoured tea in the world, we have made it even more grey with a hint of organic blueberries to create a rich, full-bodied cup for those who love their milk tea for a perfect classic.

Natural citrus oil is extracted from the peel of bergamot citrus fruits and gives Earl Grey its distinctive taste and aroma. Bergamot is a small citrus fruit with a stone protruding like a navel orange. Tea Forté Earl Grey is flavoured with bergamot bark oil and has a distinctive taste that is highly appreciated. Earl Grey tea is named after Charles Grey, the second Earl Grey and Prime Minister of England from 1830 to 1834. Legend has it that he received a gift of bergamot-flavoured tea after one of his men saved the son of a Chinese Mandarin from drowning.

Earl Grey is a classic of English tea. Traditionally, it is served with a touch of lemon or a little sugar. However, it can also be taken with a touch of milk and honey (remember that milk and lemon will curdle together!). Earl Grey is suitable for breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper, as well as any time when a hot cup would be sufficient.

Earl Grey tea is a blend of black tea enhanced with bergamot bark oil and oranges. Due to the centuries-old process used to produce black tea mixed with the sunny scent of citrus fruits, Earl Grey is a treat for crowds served all over the world.

Black teas undergo a natural oxidation process before drying, which allows enzymes to modify the chemical composition of the leaves and gives a stronger and slightly tannic taste in the last infusion. Earl Grey tea combines this strong flavour with the brightness of bergamot oil, giving it a tasty and aromatic infusion.

Known for its robust flavour and citrus notes, Earl Grey tea is a popular blend worldwide. Whether it's a lively cup with breakfast or an afternoon snack, the relaxing experience provides a host of health benefits in every sip*.

HELPING THE TRANSIT

When you experience common digestive problems such as nausea and stomach aches, drinking a cup of Earl Grey can help to calm symptoms. This beloved English tea has been used throughout history to relieve intestinal distress and restore the body's balance.

EFFECT CALM

Bergamot orange in Earl Grey blends is considered to have a calming effect on the mind as well. While sipping, we inhale the aroma of a unique essential oil found in the rind and often used in fine perfumery for its pleasant citrus zing. Aromatherapy has long been studied for its ability to reduce anxiety, relieve stress and promote a general sense of well-being.

Bergamot's antioxidant properties have a dual purpose: they can also stimulate the immune system, reduce inflammation, help us fight infections and make us feel better in general. A stable and sustained immune system is the body's most important defense mechanism against disease, making it a valuable foodstuff worth feeding. What could be better than a cup of hot and delicious tea?

BOOSTER HYDRATATION

Coffee is acidifying, dehydrating and can cause nervousness due to its high caffeine content. Although Earl Grey tea also contains caffeine, its level is generally much lower than that of coffee. Black teas also contain a small dose of potassium, an important nutrient to maintain fluid balance in the cells of the human body. The Tea Forté's Earl Grey blends offer all these advantages, both in our bulk leaf selections and in our pyramidal tea infuser. Simply soak for three to five minutes in boiling water and enjoy. Add milk and sugar if desired, and raise a healthy cup.
